I want to thank my blogging friend, That's Not My Age, for inviting me to contribute a guest post to her excellent blog here. The post is here. Her generosity has done wonders for my visitor count - I hope my new female visitors can persuade their male friends to visit as well. Please also comment, make suggestions (I'm relatively new to this) or ask questions as I'm keen to maintain a dialogue about the issues we care about as we mature!
There are many outstanding style, fashion and lifestyle blogs written by women in their forties and fifties, but a tiny number of male equivalents. I'd love to hear from any bloggers who are exploring similar issues.

I found your blog via "Thats Not My Age" blog. My husband and I are both well over 50 and hate the idea of dressing like old people. I was thrilled to find a blog for him (I subscribe to several) to give him support and ideas from another man interested in looking stylish and good and not resorting to old man clothes! Keep it up. The word will speread!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks Laura, I hope the other half finds some inspiration. GF.
DeleteYou will always hook us in with a photo of George! I wonder why ladies blog more than the men? I think it's time and the dreaded comfort zone. The men I follow on Twitter tweet like crazy, so it's not a fear of communicating. Blogging is more intimate than a quick Tweet, less revealing and takes less time and thought.
ReplyDeleteSo my George ruse wasn't as subtle as I thought! ;-)
DeleteI think you may be right about Tweets/ Blogging - I assume you mean that Tweeting takes less time and thought than Blogging? Certainly men prefer the quicker and easier option (I can say that as a man!) GF.
My pleasure! Glad you've had a good response.
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for the guest post!
