One of the most robust and accurate watches I've ever owned was a diver's watch originally issued to the Special Boat Squadron and Royal Marines (if memory serves me right). Its high quality movement and black, reflection-proof and waterproof case made it ideal for its function.
It's one of many watches I have bought and sold and one of the very few I subsequently regretted letting go - but we can't let regrets rule our lives, can we?
I previously had an issued non date RN version which I've recently started to miss so I've been looking at the SBS version the past couple of weeks. Silvermans have just got some new stock in too which is not helping my willpower!

Thanks Mishaal. Yes this was an issued watch - you can see this from the bottom set of numbers - issued in 1999. Obviously an issued example is most desirable. The SBS versions are meant to have had superior quality movements compared to the RN-issued versions. Whether the un-issued watches are exactly the same I do not know. GF.
