I saw their jeans, made from either organic denim or Japanese selvedge denim in regular and slim fits, at Best of Britannia and was impressed by the quality and construction. Why buy foreign-made jeans when you can buy the real thing, made to high standards by experienced denim artists, here in the UK?

£230 for a pair of jeans. Out of my league.
ReplyDeleteYou might like to considering feature some products available at lower price points.
Thanks for the comment Fitts.
DeleteTo be fair, Hiut's prices start at £130. Fair for jeans of such quality. Buying cheap jeans is often costlier in the long run. See my post on buying clothes on a budget. I would personally prefer to support a British business than a foreign supplier about whose ethical principles you know little. Jeans have been known to come from sources where workers are exploited.
I have featured products at all price points on the blog. A quick look around would have established that fact. You should find plenty here for every pocket.

Very nice, but very expensive. I want to support them but we live in austere times...
ReplyDeleteI don't think that the prices are so beyond. Compared to cheap produced and destroyed Jeans from Asian Sweatshops who start at € 250 (Seven, True Religion etc.) I always prefer an domestic (or european) product which maybe helps to keep domestic workplaces.
ReplyDeleteI'm shopping on a very limited budget, but prefer brands like Bompard, Brora, Cambio, Arche and their ethic Standards.
Of course it helps to be minimalist, and the Sales are a gift!
I agree we are in austere times but can recall growing up such times. My late father (a carpenter) taught me "buy less; buy quality; wear it often; look after it". I never forgot that advice. I own 2 pairs of jeans and am looking for a replacement. I think £150 or so for a pair that will hopefully last me 10 years (my MTM blazer just reached its 15th year) ....value. Less is more is my motto Jim (50+)
