Regular readers will know that I like nothing better than a small, ambitious, high quality, British menswear brand. Here's another one, Machiavellian, that is looking for support to get it off the ground.
Steven Young, Machiavellian's founder, wants men to have a wider choice of sleepwear that the cotton striped pyjamas that our grandparents wore. He has developed a range of stunningly beautiful sleep trousers made from silk from Lake Como in Italy, that renowned centre of the silk trade. Using the best British Jermyn Street cutting skills, they are Made in England in the same artisan workshops used by leading shirtmakers. The detail and colouring look breathtaking.
You can be part of Machiavellian's growth by pledging contributions, in return for silk products (depending on the size of your pledge) at Kickstarter here.
