Recycled sailcloth jackets from Quba - made in England

Friday, 6 June 2014

I love these recycled sailcloth jackets from Devon-based Quba. Sailors, particularly those who race, change their sails regularly as, with hard use, they lose shape and power. The used sails are put to good use to make jackets and bags. See Quba for more information.

The recycled sailcloth story is here.

On a sailing theme,or a sailors hornpipe if you will, my recent ebay trawl threw up a bounty of a Musto sailing jacket like new for £3.50 and a Gloverall short Duffle Coat in Waterproof sailcloth type material for £8.50.Now is a great time for buying up winter coats and scarves on ebay as people look replenishing their summer wardrobes.
