I love monochrome checks at the moment, so allow me to indulge in herringbone, dogstooth, houndstooth, puppytooth, Glen check, Prince of Wales check, grey, white, black, charcoal, texture and feel. The skill is wearing them together, but that's another story. Suppliers' details below.
Suppliers (from top left clockwise): Black.co.uk (cashmere scarf), London Undercover (umbrella), Gloverall (jacket), Johnstons of Elgin (cashmere scarf), London Sock Co., Marks & Spencer (knitted silk tie), Age of Reason scarves (pocket square), E Tautz (Glen Check trousers), Portuguese Flannel (shirt).
It's a great look.
ReplyDeleteWould you mind letting me know where the checked shirt is from though - I can't seem to see it listed (and suspect Mr B might be in the market for one)!?

Oops Mrs Blogs, I forgot that one. It's from Portuguese Flannel - really warm brushed cotton - I've added link.

Grey Fox,
ReplyDeleteAs you say the skill of wearing them together is quite another thing. I bet you have that skill so may I be so cheeky please as throw down a light hearted challenge as ask to see pictures of that?
Best regards,
Snapper
Monochrome is perfect this time of year and i love that gloverall jacket! Where are your shoes from? I need some new black shoes (similar to these)

Grey and black are such great colours in clothing.
ReplyDeleteThank you all.
ReplyDeleteSnapper, I've been meaning to to that for a while - give me a year or two and I'll get round to it. Another recent checks post before Christmas mentioned mixing checks.
Thanks James - the black brogues are Charles Tyrwhitt and I really couldn't recommend them - plasticky over-shiny leather. But they look OK.
