Wallace Sewell designs fabrics and scarves in the UK. Their Bauhaus-inspired asymmetric blocks of colour, given texture with stripes, dots and checks, have travelled round the world, being stocked in The Tate (most recently for the Georgia O'Keefe exhibition), used for London Underground seating and sold in many countries. I came across them a year or two ago and loved their designs so much I bought them as Christmas presents.
The scarves use an eclectic mix of materials, lambswool, silk, linen, cashmere, mohair, all contributing different feels and textures. The varied but always soft colours are match and complement each other very effectively. They also make throws and cushions, all of which are woven in England. Ideal gifts for Christmas and beyond.
