Orlebar Brown kindly provided a pair for assessment by my son, Tom, home on R&R from several months service abroad with the Welsh Guards. I felt he deserved a bit of cheer and he was totally delighted, using them for swimming in Cumbrian waters and the warmer luxury of hotel pools.

Tom told me, "I'm a real fan of James Bond and love anything iconic and British (like my land Rover). A touch of humour helps too. My favourites were these You Only Live Twice shorts showing Sean Connery as Bond flying Little Nellie. The shorts are beautifully made and comfortable to wear. I'm delighted with them and they'll go with me on all my travels".

My only regret is that I didn't get a pair too!
