Pink is the colour of La Gazzetta dello Sport which gave its colour to the pink jersey worn by the leader of the Giro d'Italia - la maglia rosa. Yes, real men wear pink.

ReplyDeletevintage cycling has a decisively sartorial feel, and i hadn't even considered picking up a vintage jersey.

ReplyDeleteLycra? I can't come at lycra - been cycling every week for over 50 years (still use it to go to the gym) - and you won't catch me in Lycra. My ideal has not been produced yet - it probably lies between Cyclist's Touring Club 1940s-1960s and the look Brooks are vainly seeking - Tweed Ride without affectation.
