Elegant brown brogues - ideal classics for the older man

Wednesday, 25 January 2012

Brogues finish off a man's outfit better than any other type of shoe because they look so elegant both on and off the foot. Wear with suit or jeans. As classics they are ideal for the older man.

Brogues are great at any age on both men and women in my opinion.

I agree - I nearly put up some pics of women in brogues and clearly should have done! GF

Oh yes! My favorite type of shoe. I've got two or three pairs in my closet.

    Best Regards,

I don't now remember the brand, but they look very like a pair of Barker Grassington Grain brogues, a pair of which I own and which are superb shoes.

Please help. I want to wear brogues for my prom, they are choc suede brogue lace up. Not quite sure what to wear it with. Bought a brown blazer for it. Would it work with blue trousers?

Hi Rorisang - difficult to comment without seeing colours, but blue and brown can look good - try a bright blue and see how that looks. Or cream trousers and add some colour in tie, pocket square etc.

    Have a great prom.

    GF.
