Hackett parka - winter approaches

Saturday, 4 October 2014

The last time I owned a parka was in my teens when I owned one of those khaki ones, with orange lining and cheap fake fur around the hood. For AW14 Hackett have produced the real thing, with a generous coyote-fur hood, deep pockets and water-resistant exterior. Ideal for those fast-approaching chilly days. Coming soon to Hackett.

Poor Coyote . There are some very convincing fake furs now - far better than they used to be .

I agree with previous comment. It looks nice of course but the truth behind this "generous" coyote fur hood is not so glamorous. Unfortunately many people out there don't ask themself where their clothes are from and how it was made. Or maybe people just don't want to know.
All I know is that I don't want to wear something wich is the product of suffering. The coyotes are caught in the wild in Canada in archaic steel jaw traps, often stuck for days in terrible pain, regardless they are youngs one, mother coyote taken away from their cubs, etc... in the name of fashion. Now it depends for what you stand for.
