Last week I visited Loake Shoes in Kettering. I'll be reporting on a fascinating visit soon. Meanwhile, here's a video that shows some of what I saw - British shoemaking at its best.
For more information, or to buy from their wide range of men's shoes, go to Loake.
Just watched this video with my 12 year old son, who also shines my shoes (and quite well, I might add!) It is great for children to see how quality "things" are made by hand, from scratch. We need more of this these days. An economy that cares more about artisans and those who work with their hands. All four of my children are prone to this, thanks mostly to Mum, but a bit from me, as well!
